Abstract
Cognitive grammar is one of the most important text analysis tools in cognitive stylistics, which relies on the process of CONSTRUAL and analyzes different dimensions of literary texts in a special way. This research aims to measure the method and quality of the application of the analytical approach of cognitive grammar in the analysis of Persian prose literary texts. For this purpose, based on the four dimensions proposed in the creation of construal in cognitive grammar, we have analyzed an anecdote from the sixth chapter of Saadi's Golestan as a case study. Reading this text guarantees us the condition of sufficiency; Because in terms of structure, the book of Golestan and other technical prose books ( That named Fanni proses texts in persian) are a mixture of prose and verse and are considered the most complex texts for such analysis. In this category of texts, the basis of the text is prose, and the verse parts generally have an overt or hidden syntactic and grammatical connection with the prose part. Therefore, the analysis of such texts should actually include the analysis of the prose part as the main body and the verse part included in it (including: syntactic-grammatical relationship with the prose text and analysis of the verse text on the basis of grammar). The results of this research show that Persian prose texts can be analyzed well, based on all 4 dimensions of Specificity, Focusing, prominence and perspective.
